Re: Best Trash - Yard and Landscaping Waste Guidelines
Dear Residents,
As we move into the spring season, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 119 (the “District”) understands that the amount of green waste may increase significantly due to fallen leaves, branches, and other natural debris.
Best Trash will dispose of trees, shrubs, brush trimmings and fencing, and requires that such waste be bundled and that branches not exceed three (3) inches in diameter. Such bundles shall not weigh more than forty (40) pounds or measure more than four (4) feet in length. For more than normal amounts of green waste, residents must coordinate with Best Trash and request a special collection service. Requests for a special collection service will be billed directly to the customer for an additional fee. For pricing information, please email the District’s name, your address, and several pictures of your items to customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.
The Board recently received reports that private landscaping maintenance workers have been observed disposing of large limbs, brush and other yard debris directly into Best Trash’s garbage collection trucks. Residents and private contractors are strictly prohibited from disposing of waste by placing such waste directly into Best Trash trucks. Such action may result in injury to Best Trash employees and may damage the waste collection equipment for which the District and/or the perpetrator could be liable. Private contractors are responsible for properly disposing of all green waste generated while providing services to their customers. For the safety of Best Trash employees and equipment, and for the safety of others, please ensure that green waste is being handled and disposed of properly.
Thank you to District residents for your cooperation. Please contact Best Trash with any questions regarding waste collection.
Best Regards,
Board of Directors for the District
